Adding ASP to your server
ASP comes with IIS by default, much the same way
Perl (CGI) comes with Linux Apache by default. However ASP
can be added to Linux servers. A company called ChiliSoft
first created a package that enabled ASP on Linux servers,
this company was soon bought out by Sun
microsystems. The current release is Sun Java System
Active Server Pages 4.0. It does cost around $495, which
isn't much at all when you consider the cost of Windows
2003 server, or how many hosting accounts you can fit on
one server. These is also a free trial if you want to test
it out first.
Installing ASP
Documentation is included on how to install and setup
ASP. You can go straight to the download page:-
